WELCOME TO SERVAL

Head of Community:

Ms Noerr

We extend a warm welcome to Serval, a 28 place Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) centre. The students at our

centre have been ASD diagnosed, with some having comorbidity needs (e.g. areas associated with ASD).

EXCELLENT EXAMPLES OF OUR STUDENTS' WORK

We would like to thank our students for sharing their work with us.

Please see Jonathan's write-up here about his work experience at Rolls Royce. They were extremely pleased with

his efforts and presented a Red Arrows picture, signed by all the team. This is a huge achievement for Jon who has

come a long way in the past few years. So much so, that he is also considering an apprenticeship with Rolls Royce.

In addition, please find here a write-up about a student's day in college, with the accompanying photo below.

Lynx

Lynx is a centre for specialist provision for students with learning difficulties/sensory and physical impairment. All students in Lynx enjoy their learning and demonstrate interest and enthusiasm for being in college. We are all proud of our specialist facilities, which include a hydrotherapy pool, tracking system, sensory room and physiotherapy rooms.

Our learning environment provides our students with the opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding with our life skills room dedicated to supporting the development of independent skills, our ICT facilities, our excellent large classrooms and a beautiful sensory garden.

Lynx students have the opportunity to share their social times with other BEC communities. Some students also take part in some learning activities with other BEC communities, and enjoy communal events such as sports events with all schools in Bristol and fundraising activities.
